Steve Graham has had a lifelong relationship with music. As a kid, he sang in church with his mom at piano and his dad at the pulpit. But it wasn’t until the early ’90s that he got his first drum kit. Once he started banging around, he couldn’t stop. Graham has played with a host of bands, including Lil Amy and the Two-Man Big Band and the Karltens, a bluesabilly roots-rock band out of the Joplin/Miami, OK area. They cut their first album, “Double Huffin’ Super Buzz,” in 2001. When it came time to move on, he joined Abandoned Cadillac and played with Trip Wire, a Memphis Bound Blues Competition winner. In 2007, Graham joined HotBox, which won the 2008 Best Band award from Go! Magazine and the Q award from Q 102 FM. In 2009, Graham joined the HonkyTonk Renovators and hasn’t looked back. Other bands Graham has played with include the Domino Kings, Primecut Blues Band, Blues Alley Crawlers, the Raybans, the Bluesberries, the Mike McIntire Group and the Front Porch Swingers. He’s also shared the stage with Vanzant, the Chris Duarte Group, Jackyl, Trapped, Mike Zito, the Bel Airs, the Choptops, Paul Galaxy and the Galactics, Big Smith, Wayne Hancock, Lucky Tubb and many others.
